หลักการใช้ Past Perfect Continuous

~~การใช้ "Past Perfect Continuous" มีหลักการเช่นเดียวกับการใช้ "Past Perfect"

                คือ โดยปกติจะใช้ได้ก็ต่อเมื่อมีเหตุการณ์ในอดีต 2 เหตุการณ์ 

                     เหตุการณ์ที่เกิดขึ้นก่อน ใช้ Past Perfect Continuous

                     เหตุการณ์ที่เกิดขึ้นหลัง ใช้ Past Simple

 เน้นความต่อเนื่องของการกระทำ

Ex. We had spoken for 2 hours when the boss came in.

**ถ้าแปล ความหมายของประโยคนี้จะเน้นถึงการที่พูดอย่างต่อเนื่องเป็นเวลาสองชั่วโมง

 ใช้กับ Temporary action(การกระทำชั่วคราว)

Ex.  My leg were stiff because I had been standing still for a long time.

      They lived in a castle which had stood on a hill above the village for 800 years.

อาจใช้แสดงการการกระทำที่เป็นอดีต แต่ปรากฏผลให้เห็นในเวลาต่อมา

Ex.  I was tired because I had been driving all day.

      Mary was dark because she had been sunbathing.
