    Coordinating  Conjunctions  (สันธานประสาน)  คือ คำเชื่อมคำเดียว
หรือคำเชื่อมที่เป็นกลุ่มคำ ใช้เชื่อมประธานกับประธาน (subject + subject) 
วลีกับกริยาวลี  (phrase + verb phrase)  หรือประโยคกับประโยค 
( sentence + sentence) 
ซึ่งมีใจความเท่าเทียมกัน  (join together clause of equal rank)  ได้แก่คำเหล่านี้คือ and, but, or, so เป็นต้น  เมื่อเชื่อมด้วยคำเหล่านี้ ประโยคจะกลายเป็นประโยคผสม  ( Compound Sentence)		  
   
and
และ		 but
แต่		 or
หรือ		 yet
แม้กระนั้น		 for
เพราะว่า		 nor
และ...ไม่		 so
ดังนั้น
 
   and = และ ใช้เชื่อมข้อความที่คล้อยตามกันทำหน้าที่เชื่อมคำที่เป็นชนิดเดียวกันเช่นกริยากับกริยา คำนามกับคำนาม  
   I love Pranee and Pongsee.  
   but = แต่ ใช้เชื่อมข้อความที่ขัดแย้งกัน  
   The car is nice, but it is too expensive.  
   or= หรือ มิฉะนั้น ใช้เชื่อมข้อความที่ให้เลือกเอาอย่างใดอย่างหนึ่ง  
   You can have a sandwich or fried rice for lunch.  
   yet= แม้กระนั้น ใช้เชื่อมข้อความที่ขัดแย้งกัน  
   He seems happy, yet he never smiles.  
   so = ดังนั้น ใช้เชื่อมข้อความที่แสดงความเป็นเหตุเป็นผลกัน

   for= เพราะว่าใช้เชื่อมข้อความที่แสดงความเป็นเหตุเป็นผลกัน

    nor = และ...ไม่  ใช้เชื่อมข้อความที่คล้อยตามกัน
