- This building was built, at the original location in soi Ngam Doo Plee, Thung Maha Mek, in 1929 C.E. It was initially inteded to be a clinic for Dr. Francis Christian, an Indian doctor who was Mrs. Sa-arng Surawadee’s first husband. When Asso. Prof. Waraporn was organizing the Museum and her cash flow was short, she decided to sell that piece of land, that was her inheritance, to finance the organizing of the Museum. The teakwood house there was relocated to thus complex on a reduced scale to suit the size of the new location
- On the ground floor of this building is the main hall, while on the second floor are the bedroom and the room displaying Dr. Francis Christian’s belongings. As a memorial to Dr. Christian, his bust statue cast by Professor Silpa Bhirasri, the guru of Thai temporary art, is placed in the lobby of this floor.
