   พอลิไวนิลคลอไรด์ (polyvinyl chloride : PVC)

            เป็นพลาสติกสังเคราะห์ที่ถูกนำมาใช้อย่างกว้างขวางรองจากพอลิเอทิลีน เนื่องจากมีคุณสมบัติด้านความด้านทานต่อสารเคมีที่ดี และสามารถผสมกับสารเติม (additive) เพื่อให้ได้พลาสติกที่มีคุณสมบัติทางฟิสิกส์และคุณสมบัติทางเคมี ที่แตกต่างกันเพิ่มขึ้น พอลิไวนิลคลอไรด์ เป็นพลาสติกที่เหมาะสำหรับใช้ทำท่อน้ำประปา, ฉนวนหุ้มสายไฟฟ้า, กระเป๋าหนังเทียม, ประตูพีวีซี, สายยาง, รองเท้าบู๊ท เป็นต้น PVC มีคุณสมบัติแข็งแรง ทนสารเคมี สามารถทำเป็นสีได้ไม่จำกัด และทนน้ำได้ดี
