Wish

หลักการใช้ if only; if only = ถ้าหากว่า (if only = I wish)
1. If only + could, would + v.1 ใช้แสดงความปรารถนาตรงข้ามกับความจริงในอนาคต
      - If only she could type faster. (ความจริงคือ เธอพิมพ์ไม่เร็ว)
      = I wish she could type faster.
2. If only + v.2 ใช้แสดงความปรารถนาตรงข้ามกับความจริงในปัจจุบัน
      - If only I knew what she wanted. (ความจริงคือ ไม่รู้ว่าเธอต้องการอะไร)
      = I wish I knew what she wanted.
3. If only + had + v.3 ใช้แสดงความปรารถนาตรงข้ามกับความจริงในอดีต
      - If only she had studied harder. (ความจริงคือ เธอเรียนไม่หนัก)
      = I wish she had studied harder.

หลักการใช้ as if, as though
as if, as though = ราวกับว่า; ใช้กับเหตุการณ์ที่ไม่จริง ตรงข้ามกับความจริง
         # present simple (v.1) + as if + past simple (v.2)
         # past simple (v.2) + as if + past perfect (had + v.3)
- He acts as if (หรือ as though) he were his fiance. (ให้ใช้ were เสมอ ถ้าเป็น V. to be)
- He looked as if he had lost his money.

หลักการใช้ It's time, It's about time, It's high time
It's time, It's about time, It's high time = ถึงเวลาแล้ว; + v.2  เช่น
- It's time we started our lesson.(ประโยคเป็นอดีตแต่ความหมายเป็นปัจจุบัน)
