Past Simple Tense

ใช้กับเหตุการณ์ที่เกิดขึ้นและจบสิ้นลงไปแล้วในอดีตและมักจะมีคำบอกเวลาอยู่ด้วย เช่นคำว่า yesterday, last week, last month, last year, ago
ตัวอย่าง
- My family came to visit me last week.
เมื่อเราต้องการทำเป็นประโยคปฎิเสธและประโยคคำถาม ให้นำเอา V to do(did) มาช่วย

work?
Did
you, we, they, I
work?
ให้เอา V to do(did)มาช่วยในประโยคคำถามแบบ wh-questions เช่น
- What did you do ?
ประโยคปฎิเสธให้เติม not หลัง did ได้เลย
did not (didn't)
work.
I, You, We,They
did not (didn't)
work.
เมื่อนำเอา did มาใช้ในประโยคกริยาแท้จะต้องเปลี่ยนเป็นช่องที่1เหมือนเดิม
คำว่า be กระจายรูปเป็น is am are (present) was were (past)
